Quotes

Quotes from Tarakeswar Biswal

1.Every now and then I do as my boss says or listens to my team; I simply love when they all get that confused look on their face.
2.       When an optimist says" The glass is half full." Everyone around was amazed with them. Let’s see, an alligator chew off his left arm and then he says "Well now at least no one will ask me if I am left handed or right handed." so now what those people will have to say. I will definitely stand as I was "U pathetic moron."
3.       Dad: Tara why the hell u got a repeat in thermodynamics???
Me: Dad "Jo Bhi main kahna chahun Barbad Kare alfaz mere"?
4.       Office Humor: An employee submits his medical bills in approval path. Itemized bill contains Ketamine and Rohypnol.
5.       From now on after your post gets a Like from Kapil Sibal den it will appear on others wall..

MY BIG MOMENT

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
– Reinhold Niebuhr

I have always, essentially, been waiting. Waiting to become something else, waiting to be that person I always thought I was on the verge of becoming, waiting for that life I thought I would have.

Stolen Innocence

Stolen Innocence
August.2010. Mumbai.Oshiwara @tarabiswal

Entering into Ajala Residency I heard Gopal, the apartment caretaker, crying in dismay. “The verandah pots are stolen” he gave the verdict, “I am telling you Sirji this place is swarming with thieves”. I made a face of despair while going inside the lift. Indeed the plants give you a good head start everyday by refreshing you which made me thinking while the lift moved on to the tenth floor to room no 1014. This Flat was at present “Casa de Tara” has an amazing view of the Mumbai skyline.

Materialism

Materialism - What matters

[ Recently reading the below article and it struck me to share it on my blog.]

Materialism as a philosophy is held by those who maintain that existence is explainable solely in material terms, with no accounting of spirit or consciousness. Individuals who hold to this belief see the universe as a huge device held together by pieces of matter functioning in subjection to naturalistic laws. Since materialism denies all concepts of Special Creation, it relies on the Theory of Evolution to explain itself, making beliefs in materialism and evolution interdependent.

Another Brick in the Wall

Another Brick in the Wall

"When a wall appears in front of the things you want, the wall is not there to say, 'Do not do it'. Instead, the wall is asking 'How bad do you want it?' -Randy Paush

Moral Pill

Moral Pill

It was summer of 2009 when I had got the chance to read Anthony Burgess’s novel (and Stanley Kubrick’s film) A Clockwork Orange which in turn narrates Alex, an unrepentant psychopath, who has his eyes pried wide open(in the pic above) and is forced to watch violent images. Like Pavlov’s dog, Alex is being programmed to respond with nausea to violence and sex. This scene remains shocking to me till date, but, like most science fiction, it has aged. The behaviorist psychology it was drew upon has long expired, and the fear that science will be used to make, or even force, people to be morally better now sounds old-fashioned.

A Religious Debacle

History and archaeologist have confirmed the earliest human being prayed and feared "SUN". The warmth and comfort from sun on chilling winters must have given them the idea of power source.

A Mediocre Society

A Mediocre Society
By: Tarakeswar Biswal
There are more preposterous vicissitudes in life than a single philosophy can conjure.
A mediocre society always propagates its individuals to follow a meticulous path designed in a sole purpose of transforming their respective children into money making ventures. But the constant fear of failure and possibility of finding easier way makes them to go on a path which turns them to be always followers rather than individuals who take risks and start an enterprise.
